Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright, director, producer and teacher at St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton. She is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of plays as a child and observing her mother working. In her early years, Anna was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto Ontario in order for the purpose of pursuing her acting. In the decade that followed, she eventually made the move in Los Angeles. She came across Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' training located in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in 2009.
