April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. She is one of only a handful of female players of beach volleyball to be able to do so. Alix Klineman is a new Olympian and will join the team in Tokyo. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic gold medal. As she is 39 she could have her last shot. The athlete is optimistic she will be able to win top awards. Ross through NBC Boston, said that If the team is performing very well, or even at all, they could win a gold. Then I will also take some chances. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. While at Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of sports. Being a pre-athlete she played indoor volleyball and track. While she did well at indoor volleyball however, it was evident that her skills were above normal. In her college profile, she played outside of the hitter middle blocker and setter during her volleyball career in high school. As a tribute to her efforts, she received the Gatorade Award for National Player in 1999. In 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been doing what they do in the year 2017. But, Ross was a major player in the world of beach volleyball prior to the pair. She's won big tournaments twice with different partners. The other is an iconic player in the world of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 through the year 2013. Kessy's teammate Ross, who won the world title together with Kessy in 2009, was also a major force on international stage. The 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded a gold medal. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the trio to beat out for gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. Both went on to win the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross competed for USC Trojans throughout her college years before becoming a professional. Her time at USC was impressive. Her freshman year in 2000 was when she won the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the Award and also be named an All-American. Her Trojans also reached the Final Four. Her heart was broken by a personal tragedy during her second year, but she was able to make it an All-American again. In her last two seasons with the Trojans' program the team was led to victory by winning successive national titles. Ross was an excellent player on the court, and was awarded the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female volleyball player in the NCAA. Ross was who was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross did not get to watch her daughter's climb to beach volleyball fame. Ross's mother Margie died in 2001, when Ross was an USC sophomore. She had breast cancer. She is devoted to her parents who passed away. Margie is a beach lover as well as in everyday life, inspires her.
